The monochrome format really emphasizes the "dirtyness" of the pickup, and adds to the "forlorn" mood of the scene.

The angle of the truck gives the impression that it's emerging from the undergrowth.

There's some nice attention to detail going on here-in particular, the reflection on the truck's windshield, and the dirt on the hood. Maybe the contrast could have been tweaked a little?

The dark areas in the background serve to give this photograph a sense of depth. This looks good enough to be featured in one of those coffee-table photography books. All in all, a very atmospheric piece.
